This 45 - minute class is designed to nurture a child’s coordination, creativity, and athletic ability in a fun, interactive parent-child learning environment. Parent and child are encouraged to interact with each other as well as the other classmates. The class with feature movement/ recreation based games and drills in a low stress, 100% fun atmosphere that will set the foundation for a lifetime of health and active living.
Step 2: Matilda Blue 6U: Ages 3, 4, 5, 6
Tennis is the perfect family activity. Matilda Blue and QuickStart "Kid Sized" Tennis is giving a new generation of children a new beginning in this lifetime sport. Tennis has become easy to learn and children ages 3-10 can now rally, keep score, play tournaments and also make new friends. Matilda Blue believes if the parents are on court with their 3, 4, 5 and 6 year olds they will understand the basic developmental approach to keep each outing fun. Parents will now understand the Matilda Blue Tennis "fun factor" laughter, giggles, togetherness and love. This connection will keep the kids coming back and continuing to advance. This class will be taught on the 36 foot court using the red foam, red felt and Koosh balls
Step 3: Matilda Blue 10U: Ages 7, 8, 9, 10
QuickStart developmental “learn to rally and play” program. Play based skills and drills that focus on continuing the stroke learning process. This class will be taught on the 60 - foot court using the orange felt tennis balls.
Step 4: Matilda Blue Tennis Junior Development Clinic “JDC” Ages 11 up
The JDC is a developmental/ social tennis program for the rising player that will hopefully play on their middle school team or high school team. The JDC will be taught on the 78 – foot court using the green and yellow tennis balls.
JETT Comprehensive Tennis Training System: The JETT program will develop the “complete athlete”. Each player will be given the tools to become an independent thinking, take action match player that understands the basic principles of percentage tennis.
